Victoria Peak (AKA “The Peak”) is Hong Kong‘s top attraction and it’s easy to see why. The views are breathtaking; it’s an amazing view of the city.
There’s really only one way to get to Victoria Peak and that’s on the Peak Tram. The Tram allows you to watch the view of Hong Kong as you travel higher and higher and higher (you get the point). The Tram takes you all the way to the top with the Sky Terrace 428 giving you a 360-degree panoramic view.
Peak Tram Illusion
According to The Peak’s official website, the University of Hong Kong conducted a study that found people experience a “peak tram illusion” when traveling on the tram. They found “the high rises of the right side of the tram appear to fall toward The Peak.”
At The Top
When you get to the top of The Peak, there is a lot to do! The Peak Tower contains stores, restaurants and more. Dine at a restaurant like Wildfire Pizza Bar & Grill, Fujiyama Mama or Bubba Gump or eat a casual meal at Burger King. There’s also a Madame Tussauds, 3D photo ops and even nature walks once you get to the Peak Tower. There’s a calendar of events for The Peak happenings. See the full list here.
My biggest piece of advice for seeing the Hong Kong views from The Peak: go on a clear day. Unfortunately, our only day to ride to the top was pretty overcast (as you can tell by the photo) which affected our view.
